LOCTITE? 246 is a blue, thixotropic, anaerobic-curing threadlocker. It is ideal for heavy-duty applications such as bolts used in transmissions, construction equipment or railroad assemblies, where you need resistance to heavy shock, vibration and stress levels as well as temperature resistance up to 260?C (500?F).
LOCTITE? 262 is a red, general purpose, high strength, anaerobic-curing threadlocking adhesive, which prevents threaded fasteners from loosening due to heavy shock and vibration. Ideal for applications where migration of the adhesive must be prevented. It fluoresces under UV light ? great for quality control.
When you have pre-assembled fasteners less than 6.35 mm (1/4") in diameter and need an effective threadlocker that allows for easy disassembly without shearing the screw, choose LOCTITE? 220. This fluorescent, low viscosity threadlocker wicks its away into the thread roots of pre-assembled, small diameter fasteners. Perfect for applications such as adjustment of set screws and small diameter or long engagement length fasteners.
When a high strength, high-temperature resistant threadlocker is required, consider LOCTITE? 266. It is high strength and cures rapidly on fasteners lightly coated with rust prevention oils, and locks fasteners up to 19 mm (3/4") in diameter. Once cured, it prevents fastener loosening caused by severe shock and vibration, and resists temperatures up to 232?C (450?F). Ideal for heavy duty applications, e.g. bolts used in transmissions, construction equipment or railroad assemblies.
LOCTITE? 2701 is a green, low viscosity, methacrylate-based threadlocking adhesive with high strength, ideal for chromated surfaces. It tolerates slight contaminations of industrial oils and is suitable for all metal fasteners. It fluoresces under UV light ? great for quality control.
When you need a fast cure ? particularly in heavy duty applications such as bolts used in transmissions, construction equipment or railroad assemblies ? choose LOCTITE? 2760. This high strength, thixotropic, liquid threadlocker fluoresces under UV light ? great for quality control. Depending on the substrate, this can reach full cure in as little as an hour.
LOCTITE? 277 is a red, high strength, high-viscosity threadlocking adhesive especially suitable for large bolts and studs greater than 25 mm (1"). Fluoresces to allow monitoring. Disassembly with heat possible.
LOCTITE? 278 is a green, high strength, medium-viscosity threadlocker with a fixture time on steel and brass of 20 minutes, and on stainless steel of 60 minutes. Withstands high temperatures up to 200?C (392?F), and has proven capable of providing breakaway torque on M10 bolts of 42 Nm.
LOCTITE? 290 is a green, medium-high strength threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Because of its low viscosity, the product wicks between engaged threads by capillary action and eliminates the need for disassembly prior to application. This makes it ideal for sealing porosities in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. The anaerobic adhesive cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration.
LOCTITE? 435 is a clear, toughened, low-viscosity (medical device grade) instant adhesive. It has high-resistance to impact and shock loads, high peel strength, and is suitable for bonding plastics, rubber, metals, magnets, porous and absorbent substrates and acidic surfaces. LOCTITE 435 has a fixture time of 30 seconds.
LOCTITE? 438 is a black, low-viscosity, toughened, ethyl-based instant adhesive. It has a fixture time of 10-20 seconds, high impact resistance and is flexible. It is suitable for bonding plastics, rubber, metals, porous and absorbent substrates and acidic surfaces and has good resistance in humid environments.
When you?re working with difficult-to-bond materials like wood, leather, or foamed rubber, try LOCTITE? 4471.
