  • Personal Safety

Personal safety is the practice of protecting yourself from situations that could cause harm or danger. It involves being aware of your surroundings, recognizing potential risks, and taking steps to prevent accidents or threats. • Marine Safety and...

Marine safety is the discipline concerned with safeguarding life, property, and the marine environment from the dangers associated with maritime activities. It involves the implementation of international and national laws, safety standards, and operational procedures aimed at preventing accidents such as collisions, fires, and shipwrecks. Key aspects include vessel design and maintenance, crew training, navigation safety, emergency preparedness, and pollution prevention.

Organizations such as the International Maritime Organization (IMO) set global standards for ship safety, pollution control, and seafarer training through conventions like the SOLAS (Safety of Life at Sea) and MARPOL (Marine Pollution) treaties. Marine safety also covers the use of safety equipment (e.g., life jackets, lifeboats, distress signals), adherence to navigation rules, and the management of hazardous materials onboard ships.

Ultimately, marine safety ensures that maritime operations are conducted responsibly and efficiently, protecting human lives, marine ecosystems, and the economic interests tied to global shipping and ocean use.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 277

LOCTITE? 277 is a red, high strength, high-viscosity threadlocking adhesive especially suitable for large bolts and studs greater than 25 mm (1"). Fluoresces to allow monitoring. Disassembly with heat possible.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 278

LOCTITE? 278 is a green, high strength, medium-viscosity threadlocker with a fixture time on steel and brass of 20 minutes, and on stainless steel of 60 minutes. Withstands high temperatures up to 200?C (392?F), and has proven capable of providing breakaway torque on M10 bolts of 42 Nm.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 290

LOCTITE? 290 is a green, medium-high strength threadlocker designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners. Because of its low viscosity, the product wicks between engaged threads by capillary action and eliminates the need for disassembly prior to application. This makes it ideal for sealing porosities in welds, castings and powdered metal parts. The anaerobic adhesive cures when confined in the absence of air between close-fitting metal surfaces and prevents loosening and leakage due to shock and vibration.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 435

LOCTITE? 435 is a clear, toughened, low-viscosity (medical device grade) instant adhesive. It has high-resistance to impact and shock loads, high peel strength, and is suitable for bonding plastics, rubber, metals, magnets, porous and absorbent substrates and acidic surfaces. LOCTITE 435 has a fixture time of 30 seconds.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 438

LOCTITE? 438 is a black, low-viscosity, toughened, ethyl-based instant adhesive. It has a fixture time of 10-20 seconds, high impact resistance and is flexible. It is suitable for bonding plastics, rubber, metals, porous and absorbent substrates and acidic surfaces and has good resistance in humid environments.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 4471

When you?re working with difficult-to-bond materials like wood, leather, or foamed rubber, try LOCTITE? 4471. This industrial instant adhesive provides uniform stress distribution and strong tension and/or shear strength, and is great for bonding acidic surfaces, such as chromated or freshly plated parts.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 460

LOCTITE? 460 is a low-odor, low-bloom instant adhesive. This low-viscosity adhesive is ideal for applications where odor and/or blooming are a concern. LOCTITE 460 provides for rapid bonding of metals, elastomers and plastics, including difficult-to-bond plastics (PP, PE, PTFE) when used in conjunction with a primer such as LOCTITE? SF 770.

HENKEL LOCTITE? 4601

LOCTITE? 4601 is a low-odor, low-bloom, (medical device grade) instant adhesive. The low-viscosity adhesive is ideal for applications where odor and/or blooming are a concern. LOCTITE 4601 provides for rapid bonding of metals, elastomers and plastics, including difficult-to-bond plastics (PP, PE, PTFE) when used in conjunction with a primer such as LOCTITE? SF 7701.
