Tron 40AIS with Float-Free Bracket EPIRB is an EPIRB that can send and receive distress signals and location information on 406 MHz and 121.5 MHz frequencies. It also has AIS homing technology that can send and receive VHF signals for faster localization. Meets SOLAS standard and one of the most widely used EPIRB in the maritime industries.
Tron 40AIS is compliant with the mandatory International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulation (as of July 2022) and Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) regulation. MED, MER (UK), FCC and IC approved.

An infrared light emitting diode (IR LED) is incorporated. This IR LED allows the use of night vision, which better assists SAR operations that occur at night or in the dark.
The Tron 40AIS can be used with the Galileo Return Link System, Europe’s Global Navigation Satellite System (operational since January 2020).
The Tron 40AIS is available with a float-free heating bracket.
This EPIRB has been tested for operational and performance requirements in accordance with the international standard, IEC 61097-2 Ed.4 (April 2021)
