Kolor Kut is a brand of color-changing pastes used to detect water or fuel levels in storage tanks, essential for industries like marine and oil. The standard Water Finding Paste (brown) turns red upon contact with water, while the Gasoline Gauging Paste (light pink) turns red with gasoline, helping operators gauge levels and identify contaminants in fuel, kerosene, diesel, and other hydrocarbons. A special Modified Paste detects water in alcohol-blended fuels like ethanol, which regular paste misses, changing from brown to yellow.

How it Works

Application: Apply the paste to a weighted rod or string (dip tape).

Dipping: Lower the rod to the bottom of the tank.

Indication: The paste changes color where it touches the liquid interface (water or fuel).

Measurement: Remove the rod and read the colored mark to determine the depth or level.
